Michael McGraw, the president and CEO of XLR8 OPS Consulting, owns the luxury yacht Fighting Irish, which was built at the shipyard of Westship World Yachts in Tampa, Florida. Nearly 150 feet in length, Fighting Irish had its maiden voyage in 2004 and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 27 knots.
The yacht comfortably accommodates eight crewmembers and 10 passengers. Fitted with two engines, the vessel offers 5,470 horsepower of thrust. With the exterior envisioned by Carr Design, the luxurious interior is the work of Amy Halffman. The ship’s onboard fuel tanks hold nearly 44,000 liters of diesel and its water tanks more than 9,000 liters of fresh water.
McGraw has worked in the insurance industry since the late 1980s, when he was with Lloyd’s of London broker Willis, Faber and Dumas. He focused on the North American placement of catastrophe reinsurance treaties. McGraw is active with the Catholic Church and has sponsored a K-8 Peruvian Catholic school.
